Who we are
Affmatic Media SRL, Bucharest, Romania (“Affmatic Media”, “we”, “us”) operates the website affmatic.media. This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit the site or contact us, why we process it, and what your rights are.
The website is purely informational. It has no forms, no user accounts, no newsletter and no e-commerce. All contact happens by the visitor sending an email to partners@affmatic.media. Because of that, the amount of personal data involved is small, and we keep it that way on purpose.
We are the controller of the processing described in this policy. For any privacy or legal matter, write to partners@affmatic.media.
What we do not do
It helps to say first what this website does not do:
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use the website for advertising or retargeting.
- We do not make automated decisions about site visitors.
- We do not load fonts or images from third-party services. Fonts are self-hosted and photos are hosted locally, so your browser makes no requests to Google Fonts or to third-party image hosts while you browse the site.

When you send us an email
The website has no contact forms. If you want to reach us, you send an email to partners@affmatic.media. When you do, we process the information you choose to include: typically your name, your email address and the content of your message.
We use this information to reply to you and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal or to handle a job application. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in corresponding with people who contact us and, where a conversation leads towards a contract, the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into that contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f)).
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed for the conversation and for any resulting business relationship. For job applications, we keep the application materials for up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them earlier.
Google Analytics
The only third-party tool on this website is Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC.
Google Analytics is loaded only after you give consent through the cookie banner. The site uses Google Consent Mode v2, and the default state is denied: until you accept, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent to Google.
The purpose of Google Analytics on this site is limited to aggregated statistics on site usage — for example, which pages are visited and how visitors move through the site. IP anonymization is applied by GA4 by default.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the site. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Google retains the analytics data for 14 months.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC, which may process server logs (such as IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and operation of the service.
The legal basis for server logs is the legitimate interest of us and our host in running the website securely and reliably (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Server logs are kept for a short period: up to 30 days.
Transfers outside the EEA
Google and DigitalOcean may process some data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on recognized safeguards: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep personal data
- Emails and related correspondence: as long as needed for the conversation and any resulting business relationship.
- Job applications: up to 24 months, unless you ask for earlier deletion.
- Google Analytics data: retained for 14 months.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Your cookie choice (
affm_consent): 12 months, so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights by writing to partners@affmatic.media. Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data rectified;
- obtain the erasure of your data in the situations provided by the GDPR;
- restrict the processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format (data portability);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example through the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.
You also have the right to complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal), www.dataprotection.ro.

This policy applies to affmatic.media. It does not cover other websites you may reach through links on our site.
We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
